The Magic Paintbrush

In winter's chill, we bundle up,
With hats and scarves and sweaters tough.
Our dresses hidden 'neath our coats,
We button up and wrap our throats.

A tap of snow upon the ground,
We trudge through it, without a sound.
But still, we find a way to play,
And laugh and sing the cold away.

Our caps and hats keep us so warm,
As we build forts and make snowstorms.
We dance and twirl, we skip and hop,
Until we're dizzy, and we stop.

And when it's time to head inside,
We shake off snow, and brush off pride.
We strip away our winter gear,
And shed the layers that we wear.

But still, we know, we'll bundle up,
When winter's cold comes for a cup.
We'll wear our hats and scarves and such,
And face the cold without a touch.
