The Little Lamb and the Shining Lamp.

In the sunny fields of green,
A little lizard could be seen,
Climbing up a sturdy log,
Enjoying the warm weather's jog.

A lemon tree stood tall and proud,
Its juicy fruit sweet and loud,
Attracting animals big and small,
Like the mighty lion's mighty call.

But on this day, a little lamb,
Came along with a little plan,
To find a lamp that would light the way,
And guide them through the night and day.

And so the little lamb did search,
Through the fields and forests' perch,
Until he found a shining light,
A lamp so bright, it lit up the night.

With the lamp held high and bright,
The little group felt safe and right,
And they journeyed on with glee,
Through the land of wonder and mystery.

So let this tale be a lesson true,
That with courage, faith and a goal in view,
You can conquer any obstacle in your way,
And find your path to a brighter day.

  3. Why did the animals feel safe and right when they had the shining lamp with them?
  4. What other adventures do you think the group of animals might have had after the poem ended?
  5. If you were on a journey like the animals in the poem, what kind of obstacles might you face and how could you overcome them?
