The Five Senses: A Tale of Experiencing Life

Come gather 'round, my young friends dear
I've got a tale for you to hear
It's all about the senses five
That help us experience alive

First up is touch, oh what a delight
To feel the softness, or something tight
A tickle, a hug, or a pat on the back
With touch, so many things we can track

Next comes senses, oh so fine
They help us know what's yours or mine
A soft fur, or a rough stone
Senses tell us what we've known

Then there's smell, so very sweet
The scent of flowers, or tasty treats
The fragrance of rain, or freshly cut grass
Smells take us back, to the times that passed

Taste is next, oh what a treat
A burst of flavor, so good to eat
Salty or sweet, spicy or sour
Taste buds help us, in every hour

Last but not least, comes hearing's call
The sound of waves, or a baby's bawl
Birds chirping, music playing
Sounds tell us what's happening

And finally, we have sight
The world's colors, all so bright
The twinkling stars, or a rainbow's hue
Sight helps us see, what's in our view

So my dear friends, you see
With senses five, we can be
Fully alive, in every way
Experiencing the world, day by day.
