Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sophie. She loved to play outside on rainy days with her dog, Max. But, one day when she went to grab her umbrella before heading out, she realized it was missing!

Sophie searched high and low, but she couldn't find it anywhere. She even looked in her car, but it wasn't there either. She was getting very worried, because she knew she would get very wet without an umbrella.

Just then, Max barked and ran to the closet. Sophie followed him and found her umbrella inside, hanging on the back of her coat! She was so happy and relieved, and quickly grabbed it before running out to play with Max in the rain.

As they splashed in puddles, Sophie's shirt and blouse got wet, but she didn't mind because she had her umbrella to keep her dry. Later, when they came back inside, Max shook off the water and Sophie hung up her coat and umbrella to dry. She also put on a warm tie and hat to keep cozy.

Sophie's mom had also noticed that the living room carpet was a little wet from Max's paws, so she brought out a special case to put over it and protect it from getting ruined. Sophie and Max spent the rest of the afternoon playing on the carpet, happy and dry.

Sophie learned that it's important to always check and double check before heading out. And always pay attention to Max, sometimes he can be a big help!
