Safe and Sound in the Storm

As the storm outside does rage and roar,
We gather together, safe and warm,
A coat to wrap around us tight,
And dinner served by candlelight.

We sip our drinks, we take a breath,
And settle in for an evening's rest.
We shed our wet and muddy clothes,
And cozy up with blankets, I suppose.

The wind may howl, the rain may pour,
But we'll be snug behind our doors.
For when the storm has passed us by,
We'll venture out, with clear blue skies.

So don't you fear, my little friends,
For storms must come and storms must end.
And when the thunder fades away,
We'll welcome in a brand new day.
