The Forest Surprise

In a far-off land, in a tall, tall tree
Lived many creatures, as happy as can be
Birds with feathers and wings so wide
Squirrels with nuts they love to hide

One day a worker bee said with a sigh
"I wonder what surprise we can make to try?"
The queen bee said, "Let's make something tasty
That all the creatures will find so hasty."

So the worker bees worked with all their might
Making a sweet treat that was just right
They mixed and stirred and added some zest
Until they made a treat that was the best

Then they flew down to the forest floor
To share their surprise with all and more
The birds, the squirrels, and all the rest
Were amazed by the treat that was the best

They nibbled and munched with all their might
And soon their bellies were full and tight
The guard bees watched with jaws agape
As the animals ate without an escape

But the queen bee said, "It's alright my dears
Let them eat and have no fears
For we are all friends in this forest neat
And sharing is what makes life so sweet."

So they all ate and laughed and played
Until the sun began to fade
Then the birds flew up to their nests so high
While the squirrels snuggled up to say goodnight

And as the creatures slept in the forest so grand
The worker bees made more treats by hand
For they knew that many more surprises they can bring
To make all the creatures in the forest sing.
