The Sand Castle Sculpture Contest

They went down to the beach one day,
To sculpt and play in the sand and spray,
Building castles tall and grand,
With turrets, moats, and drawbridge at hand.

Then a sculptor came along,
And said, "Let's carve a statue strong,
Use sand, and make it amazing,
In a contest, we'll see who's reigning."

The kids agreed, with hearts aglow,
And set to work with their tools in tow,
Each one determined to do their best,
And carve a statue that passed the test.

Some chose to make a knight in armor,
Others a mermaid with a shimmer,
But when the contest was all done,
Each creation was unique and fun.

For though they used the same medium,
Their ideas were anything but tedium,
And each one was a work of art,
Carved with love, straight from the heart.

So next time you're on the sandy shore,
Remember this and make some more,
Amazing sand castles and sculptures too,
For with your creativity, there's nothing you can't do!
