The Little Girl and the Beautiful Owl

Once upon a time, in a forest so grand,
A little girl walked, with basket in hand.
She was on a quest, to find something to cook,
With some veggies and fruit, and maybe some fowl.

As she walked along, she chanced to look up,
And saw an owl perched, on a tree so tall.
It was a beautiful sight, with feathers so bright,
And she felt a sense of wonder, deep in her heart.

The owl looked at her, with curious eyes,
And hooted a greeting, as if to say hi.
The little girl smiled, and said hello,
And asked if the owl knew, where some fowl might go.

The owl replied, "I'm afraid I don't know,
But if you keep walking, there's a farm down the road.
You'll find some chickens there, with feathers so fine,
And they'll make a delicious dish, with veggies in line."

The little girl thanked the owl, and went on her way,
With a skip in her step, and a smile on her face.
She found the farm, and got some fowl,
And went back home, feeling happy and proud.

And as she cooked her meal, she thought of the owl,
And how its beauty had made her feel whole.
For even in the midst of a mundane task,
Nature's wonders can bring a sense of magic, that lasts.
