Read together

Sprinting through the meadow green,
It's amazing what you've seen,
The world's a place of many hues,
With endless things for you to use.

Compare the stars up in the sky,
To fireflies that flit on by,
Each creature has a role to play,
As they go about their day.

Some are predators, they prey,
While others run really fast away,
As they zip and zoom with lightning speed,
Like a sailboat on the sea.

Though some are small and some are large,
They all have hearts that beat in charge,
And though they may look different, true,
They're all important just like you.

So let's embrace the wonders here,
And revel in the joys that cheer,
For though we all are different, see,
We're special, you and me!

Talk about it

Reflection

  1. What are some of the things you can see in the world around you?
  2. Can you name some creatures that live in the meadow?
  3. How are the stars in the sky different from fireflies?
  4. Do all creatures in the meadow have the same role to play? Why or why not?
  5. Why is it important to embrace the differences between ourselves and others?
