Safe and Sound in the Burrow

In a burrow deep and snug,
Live some creatures, round and snug,
They have fur, they have paws,
To hibernate, they take a pause.

They breathe slow and deep,
For a long winter's sleep,
Their sound is quiet, barely there,
To stay safe from predator's scare.

There are many animals like them,
Who hide away, just like a gem,
Waiting for the spring to come,
When they wake up and play some.

So if you see a burrow on the ground,
Remember, it's where friends can be found,
Be still and quiet, don't make a sound,
Respect their space and look around.
