The Little Birdie's True Friends

Once upon a time, in a forest so green,
A little birdie sat on a branch so lean,
She barely had any feathers on her back,
But she still had a song, and that's a fact.

One day, as she chirped away,
A rude owl came and said "you're not okay",
But a true friend, a squirrel so sweet,
Said "don't listen to him, your song's a treat".

The little birdie sang with all her might,
And the squirrel danced with pure delight,
But suddenly, a burp she let out,
And the squirrel laughed, without a doubt.

"You may be small, and bony too,
But your song and burp are both true blue",
So take a breath and spread your wings,
And show the world all of your things.

For even though some may be mean,
You have a friend who's always keen,
To cheer you up and make you smile,
And help you go that extra mile.

So never give up on what you love,
And know that you're a gift from above,
This world is yours to explore and thrive,
And with your heart, you will always survive.
