The Playful Animals of the Green Grassy Field

In a far-off land, where the grasses sway,
Lived a group of animals who liked to play.
They'd burrow in holes, or prance in the sun,
And each had a trait that made them fun.

The giraffe was tall, with a neck so high,
She could see for miles, beyond the sky.
The antlers on the deer were quite a sight,
But he didn't like them, they gave him a fright.

The hippopotamus liked to laze in the pond,
With his big round belly, he looked quite fond.
The elephant was strong, with a mighty trunk,
He could lift up logs, or squash them like a punk.

The zebra was striped, and quite a fast runner,
And when she was happy, she'd start to flutter.
The fox was cunning, with a bushy tail,
And in the night, he'd often wail.

Together they'd play, in the green grassy field,
Their laughter and joy, an infectious yield.
With each other they'd frolic, and sometimes race,
In this land, of love and peace and grace.
