The Magic Paintbrush

Come children, come gather 'round,
Let's talk about a special day we've found,
It's called Mexican Independence Day,
When we celebrate in a special way.

We decorate with colorful streamers,
And fill our homes with delicious aromas and flavors,
We practice our dances and our songs,
And make sure everything looks perfect all day long.

We learn about the heroes who fought for freedom,
And how they overcame the obstacles to achieve their kingdom,
We put on blindfolds and play piñata,
And eat candy until we can't eat no more, 'ta-da!

We dress up in traditional clothes,
And proudly wear our sombreros,
We show our love for Mexico,
And everything that makes it so special, you know.

So let's raise our voices and cheer,
For Mexico, our beloved country dear,
On this special day, let's all unite,
And celebrate with all our might!
