The Magic of Friendship

Come and gather all around
For a tale that's sure to astound
About traditions old and new
And the things that we can do

In the ancient language of Hebrew
We learn of mitzvahs, pure and true
These are deeds that we can do
To make the world a better place, it's up to me and you

On the Sabbath day we rest
With our family and friends, we're blessed
We light the candles, and we pray
For peace and love to fill our day

The Shema is a special prayer
We recite it with love and care
It reminds us that God is near
And to love each other, we hold dear

Mezuzah on the door we place
A reminder of God's grace
We touch it as we come and go
And remember the love that we know

In the Roman Catholic faith, we see
A different path to eternity
But we share in love and light
And strive to do what's right

In the Jewish faith, we learn
Of the Torah, and how to discern
And the shofar's call we hear
To inspire us all year after year

So let us all come together
No matter the faith or weather
And love and care for one another
For that is what makes us sisters and brothers.
