The Breakfast Visitor

Once upon a morning bright,
A little bear woke up with delight,
He rubbed his eyes and stretched with glee,
Ready for some porridge, as you'll soon see.

Off he went to the kitchen with a grin,
Excited to have his breakfast begin,
He poured the oats and milk with care,
And waited for his porridge to be fair.

But just as he was about to take a bite,
A knock came from the door with might,
He groaned and whined, "Who could it be?",
As he hurried to answer, feeling peeved.

To his surprise, his friend had come to call,
And he hadn't seen her in ages, not at all,
He gave her a hug and welcomed her back,
And they sat down together, no longer feeling slack.

They enjoyed their porridge and chatted away,
Talking about all the fun they'd have that day,
The little bear was happy to return the favor,
For his friend's visit, he would always savor.

So remember, dear kids, sometimes a knock,
Might interrupt your breakfast like a clock,
But don't groan or whine or give a frown,
You might just make a friend, and your day will turn around.
