The Night Before Navidad

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads.

But wait! There’s something they must attend,
For tomorrow is Christmas, a day without end.
They must get up early, with eager glee,
To see what presents Santa has left under the tree.

The house is decorated, with lights and cheer,
The kids can hardly wait for Christmas to appear.
They drape the tinsel and hang the ornaments with care,
And all of the decorations they agree are just right to share.

With each passing hour, the excitement grows,
For the joy of Christmas is what everyone knows.
The kids' relatives will come to celebrate,
And they'll eat Christmas dinner and stay up late.

So, on this night before Christmas, as the children sleep,
They dream of the wonders that tomorrow will reap.
Of presents and sweets and time spent with kin,
And the magic of Navidad that's sure to bring a grin.
