Journey to the Enchanted Forest

On the map of the world, you'll find
Many shapes of every kind
From continents both big and small
To landforms that we can recall

There's a peninsula that juts out to sea
A piece of land that's surrounded, you see
By water on three sides, it's quite unique
A place to explore and roam and seek

A gorge is a deep and narrow space
Between mountains, it's a special place
Water rushes through and carves a way
Over time, it changes day by day

An isthmus connects two pieces of land
A strip of earth, that's where we stand
It's like a bridge, connecting two shores
A pathway for animals and much more

A continent is a large piece of land
A place where many people make their stand
There are seven on our planet earth
And each one is filled with its own worth

Weathering is what shapes the land
Wind, rain, and ice make everything grand
Over time, rocks change and turn to sand
A type of process that we understand

A plateau is a flat and high terrain
A place where you can see for miles again
It's like a mountain, but it's flat on top
A place where many people hike and stop

Beneath the earth, there's much to see
A world that's hidden, but still so key
From mountains to valleys, there's much to find
And explore, if you have the time

A delta is where a river meets the sea
A place where land and water meet and be
It's where the river spreads out wide
And it's a place where you can take a ride

So now you know some landform names
Of places that we can see in frames
From peninsula to isthmus and more
The land is filled with shapes we adore.
