Read together

Independence Day is here,
A time for fun and cheer,
We'll celebrate with a barbecue,
And watch the fireworks too!

The mayor and Grand Marshal will lead,
As we march in the parade with speed,
Patriotic colors flying high,
As we honor veterans who have fought and died.

With snouts in the air and tails wagging,
Our furry friends will join in the flagging,
We'll sing and dance and have some fun,
Until the day is finally done.

So let's wave our flags and shout "hurray",
For the land of the free and the home of the brave,
Independence Day is a special day,
To remember our freedom in every way!
