The Brave Buffalo Leader

In the open plains where the buffalo roam,
A herd of them grazed, no place like home.
Their hooves pounded the earth, a rhythmic sound,
As they ate and played, joyfully around.

But one day, a stampede, like thunder, came near,
The buffalo all panicked, filled with fear.
They didn't know what was causing the stir,
But they knew to move cautiously, and not to blur.

The swiftest of the buffalo took the lead,
The others followed, picking up speed.
They ran and ran, with all their might,
Trying to escape the impending fright.

The herd was surrounded, with nowhere to go,
But the swiftest one found a path to follow.
It led them all to safety, away from harm,
And they all settled down, feeling calm.

The buffalo knew their leader was brave,
And they envied the speed that he gave.
They knew he was special, almost sacred,
And he kept them safe, never to be degraded.

So whenever they moved, they followed his lead,
And he kept them safe, indeed.
The buffalo lived happily, forever more,
Thanks to their leader, whom they all adore.
