Lost in the Woods: A Tale of Adventure and Friendship.

In galoshes, we trudge through the rain,
On our way to the library again,
To research books that we can borrow,
And read at home, maybe tomorrow.

But wait! A borrower, what do we see,
A minor with a library card, just like me!
He wants to take out a book or two,
And learn something new, just like you.

But before we lend, we must account,
For the books that we give out.
We keep a record of every loan,
So we can make sure they all come home.

And just like us, borrowers too,
Should keep track of what they do.
Like paying interest on a loan they get,
Or expenses they have, they must not forget.

So remember, young ones, to keep track,
Of your expenses and your books that you pack,
And always make sure your statement is clear,
So you can keep learning without any fear!

  4. How do you think the characters felt when they finally found their way back to safety?
  5. What did the friends learn from their experience, and how might they apply those lessons in their future adventures?
