Adventures in the Great Wide Ocean

In the great wide ocean, beneath the waves so blue
Lived a world of creatures, both many and few
Some were small and some were big, some were fast and some were slow
But they all had one thing in common, that helped them thrive and grow

The predator was feared, with its sharp teeth and claws
It roamed the ocean floor, looking for its cause
To find its next meal, it had to be sly
To sneak up on its prey, before they could say goodbye

But then came the drought, a time of little rain
The water grew shallow, and food became a pain
The creatures knew they had to move, to find a better place
To search for a new home, in a different space

They used the magnetic fields, to navigate the sea
And followed the current, where it led them to be
They swam for days, and many nights
Until they found a new place, where they could live and thrive

And then came the spawn, a time of new life
The creatures had babies, to carry on the strife
And with each new generation, the ocean thrived once more
With predators and prey, all living in rapport

So now you see, the ocean's a special place
With creatures of all kinds, each with a unique face
And though they face challenges, they always find a way
To keep swimming strong, each and every day.
