The Magical World of Art and Craft

Come gather 'round, my little friends,
And hear a story I will spin,
Of art and craft and wonderment,
Of things that shape and things that bend.

There was a kiln, so hot and bright,
That turned clay into ceramic light,
A pottery wheel, with whirring sound,
That spun the earth into shapes profound.

And then there was the loom, so fine,
That wove together threads divine,
Creating cloth that's soft and warm,
To wrap around you like a charm.

But not all art is made from scratch,
Sometimes it's found, and given a patch,
A mosaic made from bits and pieces,
To create beauty where there were creases.

And when you've got a found object,
That doesn't fit, or seems to reject,
You can cast it into something new,
And see it shine with a different hue.

And let's not forget the mural,
That covers walls with colors floral,
A giant installation, grand and bold,
That tells a story, new and old.

So take these tools, and make some art,
Let your creativity take heart,
For when you use your hands and mind,
You'll find new treasures of every kind.
