In the ocean blue and wide,
Many creatures there reside,
Some are hunters, some are prey,
In the marine world they play.

Pinnipeds are a special lot,
They have flippers and blubber that's hot,
They molt their fur when it's time,
And migrate to warmer climes.

They haul out onto the shore,
To rest and bask in the sun once more,
But predators lurk in the deep,
So they must always stay alert and keep.

Some eat fish, some eat squid,
Others dine on the pinniped,
It's a circle of life, you see,
In the great marine family.

So let's appreciate and learn,
About these creatures we yearn,
To protect and preserve their way,
So they may thrive another day.
