Once upon a time, in a land far away,
Lived a group of kids who loved to play,
They loved to explore, investigate and discover,
The mysteries of the world they'd uncover.

One day they found a fossil so grand,
A creature so big, it covered the land,
It was petrified and stuck in time,
Leaving an imprint, of an ancient climb.

The kids were so curious, they wanted to learn,
They sought out a professor, an expert to discern,
The secrets of the past, hidden in the bone,
The professor helped them, and they were shown.

The bank of knowledge they now did accrue,
About the dinosaur, and the world it knew,
They learned how to investigate, how to pore,
Over every detail, and so much more.

The kids were so thrilled, they couldn't contain,
Their excitement and joy, over what they'd gained,
The fossil had brought them, so much delight,
And they'd learned about history, on this wondrous night.
