Read together
Come young ones, gather 'round
A story, I'll spin without a sound
Of soaring birds high up in the sky
And experiences that make us all sigh
Imagine a continent, vast and wide
With different people, cultures to abide
We can exchange stories, share and learn
In a presentation, our knowledge we can churn
But remember, not all are so fortunate
Some are refugees, in search for a place to sit
A refuge, a safe haven, they seek
Where they can start anew, without feeling weak
Now let's talk about a faucet, and how it drips
A slow dribble, enough to fill a cup's tips
But if we let it go, it can waste so much more
Let's not be wasteful, let's conserve, let's explore
So young ones, go on and soar
Have experiences, share and explore
Exchange with others, learn and grow
And remember to give to those below.
Talk about it
Reflection
- What do you think it means to soar?
- Can you tell me about an experience you had that made you happy?
- Why is it important to exchange stories and ideas with others?
- What can we do to help refugees and people in need?
- How can we conserve water and other resources in our daily lives?
