The Prehistoric Hunt for Nutrition and Health

In a time long ago, prehistoric and wild,
Our ancestors roamed, just like a child,
They gathered and hunted, for food to eat,
Nutrition and minerals, they knew was key.

They found what they needed, in plants and in meat,
And learned what to eat, for a balanced treat,
Carbohydrates for energy, to run and to play,
And vitamins for growth, in every way.

But sometimes they lacked, what they needed most,
So they sought out a way, to give them a boast,
A supplement here, a nutrient there,
To keep them strong, healthy and fair.

And now we know, what they knew back then,
That calorie counting, is not always a win,
We need a balanced diet, with all the good stuff,
To keep us strong, and tough and buff.

So let's eat our greens, and our fruits too,
And all the healthy foods, that we can chew,
For nutrition and health, is what we need,
To grow up strong, and be all we can be.
