Read together

Once upon a time, in a world so grand,
Lived some mischievous kids, with a prank in their hand.

They gathered round, with some bologna in sight,
To create some mayhem, and cause some slight.

But little did they know, that evidence remained,
A clue to their antics, that couldn't be restrained.

Their parents found out, and they did mention,
That pranks are not good, and can cause some tension.

So they had to repeat, and learn from their mistake,
And promised not to assign, any more pranks to make.

They listened and learned, and chose to protest,
Against pranking others, and causing unrest.

Now they live happily, with no pranks to play,
And teach others too, to find a better way.

Reflection

Here are a few questions to ask kids to think about the story:

  1. What did the kids do in the story, and why did they think it was a good idea?
  2. What happened when evidence of their prank was discovered, and how did they react?
  3. What did their parents say about the prank, and how did the kids learn from their mistake?
  4. Why did the kids decide to protest against pranking, and what did they learn about finding a better way to have fun?
  5. Can you think of a time when you or someone you know played a prank on someone else, and how did it make everyone feel?
