The Adventures of a Daring Barnstormer

Come children, gather 'round,
I have a tale that's sure to astound!
It's about a pilot, so daring and bold,
Whose stories never get old.

He enlisted in the Air Force one day,
And learned to fly in every way.
He became a barnstormer, flying solo,
Doing loop-the-loops, oh what a show!

He flew a Curtiss Jenny biplane,
Over fields where sharecroppers toiled in vain.
He even took his manicurist for a ride,
And she was thrilled, her fears she could hide.

But one day his biplane needed repair,
So he visited a mechanic who worked with care.
With the engine fixed, he was back in the sky,
Doing tricks that would make you want to cry.

So remember this pilot, so brave and true,
Whose stories are told for me and for you.
He flew in a time when planes were new,
And his adventures are worth retelling, it's true.
