In a land with hills and sea,
Lived kids as young as three,
They explored the world around,
And learned about places profound.
They saw a strait so wide,
A channel with a rushing tide,
They learned about the culture too,
Of those who lived there, old and new.
In the northern hemisphere,
A peninsula they did revere,
It jutted out into the sea,
And was home to creatures, wild and free.
They followed a current so strong,
And found a gorge that went on and on,
They smelled an aroma in the air,
And followed it without a care.
But soon they found an invader,
A plant that grew, and wouldn't waver,
They learned about the harm it caused,
And worked together to remove it, and pause.
For these kids knew, from what they learned,
That the world is precious, and should be earned,
And so they explored, and they grew,
With knowledge and wonder, all anew.
