Journey to the Enchanted Forest

In the earth, deep and wide,
Lies a treasure we cannot hide,
A crystal so pure and bright,
Organic gem, a true delight.

With facets that gleam and shine,
Each one perfect, every line,
Made of atoms, small but true,
A thing of beauty, old and new.

From the ground it did arise,
Growing slowly, grain by grain in size,
As it grew, it changed and evolved,
Until it became a mineral solved.

But when it's time has come to pass,
It can't just disappear in a flash,
For it must undergo a change,
And with the heat, it will rearrange.

As it starts to evaporate,
Its beauty cannot be debated,
For even though it turns opaque,
Its beauty we cannot forsake.

For though it may dissolve and fade,
Its memory will never evade,
For in our hearts it will remain,
An organic gem that we'll sustain.
