The Wonder of Words: A Journey Through Science and Math

Come gather 'round young ones,

I have a tale to tell,

Of things both strange and wondrous,

That we've come to know so well.

First up is the molecule,

It's made of tiny parts,

And when they come together,

They make up all the arts.

Geometry is next in line,

With shapes both big and small,

From circles to rectangles,

It's used to measure them all.

Now a solar eclipse, how grand,

A sight to make us still,

As the moon comes in between,

And the sun's light it does spill.

Mysterious, what a word to know,

With secrets still untold,

The world is full of wonders,

For us to yet unfold.

Algebra's a tricky one,

With numbers and with signs,

But once you've got the hang of it,

It all falls into line.

An atom is the building block,

Of all that we can see,

And when they come together,

They make up you and me.

A compass points the way to go,

And helps us find our path,

It shows us north, south, east, and west,

And helps us avoid a wrath.

And lastly, there's the theory,

A grand idea to start,

It helps us make sense of the world,

And plays a vital part.

So that's the tale I have to tell,

Of words both strange and grand,

I hope you'll take them with you,

As you journey through this land.

  3. How do you think atoms come together to form things we can see and touch?
  4. Do you enjoy learning about science and math?
  5. Can you think of any other words related to science or math that weren't in the poem?
