The Fugitive and the Activists

In the woods, a fugitive did hide
From hounds that throbbed with sense of pride
They sniffed and searched, with all their might
To catch the one who fled from sight

The fugitive ran, with all their speed
Their scent was strong, but they did plead
To escape from the dogs, and their growling sound
They knew they had to flee the pound

As they ran, they muttered words
About the injustice, that they had heard
They wanted to be free, to live with peace
To make the world, a better place to lease

They joined a network, of activists bold
Who fought for freedom, and rights untold
They worked together, to make a change
To help all beings, to live on the same page

Now the fugitive, with courage and might
Stands up for justice, with all their might
They run no more, they stand their ground
And help make the world, a better place to be found.
