Ancestral Lessons from the Tundra

Out in the tundra, so vast and so wide,
Lived an ancestor, with whom we take pride,
They paddled a kayak, through icy cold streams,
And caught many fish, fulfilling their dreams.

They built an igloo, with snow and with ice,
A warm cozy shelter, that felt very nice,
They watched the caribou, as they roamed through the land,
And learned how to hunt, with a steady hand.

As winter approached, they knew what to do,
They gathered their things, and bid the tundra adieu,
They followed the caribou, as they migrated away,
To warmer lands, where they could stay.

So let us remember, the ways of the past,
And honor our ancestors, who made it all last,
For they taught us much, about life and the land,
And left us a legacy, so rich and so grand.
