The Candidate's Journey: Protecting Democracy and Taking the Oath

Once upon a time in this land,
A candidate rose to take a stand,
He wanted to lead with a heart so true,
And make the country better for me and you.

He campaigned with his heart and soul,
Hoping to reach his ultimate goal,
To serve in Congress, to represent all,
And answer the nation's every call.

But in his path, a threat did appear,
And so his bodyguard stood near,
To keep him safe from harm and strife,
And keep him safe throughout his life.

An agent was hired to investigate,
And find the source of this cruel fate,
To keep our democracy strong and fair,
And keep the people free from despair.

The First Lady took an oath,
To support her husband with both,
Love and strength to guide his way,
And be his support throughout each day.

At the inauguration, he stood tall,
And took the oath to serve us all,
To lead with honor, justice, and grace,
And make our country a better place.

But still, the threat of assassination,
Loomed over the nation with hesitation,
So we must remain vigilant and strong,
To protect our democracy all along.

So kids, remember the importance of peace,
And let democracy always increase,
Let's work together to make things right,
And protect our country with all our might.

  2. What challenges did the candidate face on his journey to Congress?
  3. How did the bodyguard, agent, and First Lady help the candidate during his journey?
  4. Why is it important to investigate threats to our democracy and protect it from harm?
  5. Why is taking an oath important and what does it signify?
  6. What can we do to protect democracy and make our country a better place?
