The Resourceful Children of Oz

Once upon a time in the land of Oz,
A regal king ruled with his magical cause,
He had a contraption that flew in the sky,
And all who saw it would let out a sigh.

But one day the king began to rant,
For a toxic spell had taken his plant,
All the trees began to cower,
And the sky lost its blue power.

But the children of Oz were resourceful and true,
And they knew just what they had to do,
They set out on a journey to find,
A cure for the spell that had been unkind.

They traveled far, across the gorge,
Through dark caves and past a loom so large,
At last they found the magic flower,
That had the strength to break the spell's power.

And when the king's land was once more green,
And the sky had regained its blue sheen,
The children watched as the king did wince,
At the thought of how close he had come to lose his prince.

But the kids knew that they had won the day,
And they knew that they had saved the land from decay,
For they were brave and resourceful, and they had no fear,
And they knew that their love for Oz would always be near.
