Once upon a time, in a world so neat,
Lived atoms that were just so sweet,
They swirled around in their little world,
And every day, new things unfurled.
Some atoms were crystal, shiny and bright,
Reflecting the sun with all their might,
While others were chemical, mixing and melding,
Creating new things, without much telling.
Some atoms were cultured, refined and pure,
Knowing their place, that's for sure,
While others were wild, daring and bold,
Breaking down barriers, as they were told.
But one day, a problem arose,
As one atom found himself in a dose,
Of a chemical that could dissolve his soul,
And turn him into something, no longer whole.
He looked around, feeling quite scared,
But saw a crystal, who kindly shared,
"Reflect on your worth, don't give up yet,
You're strong and brave, don't you forget!"
So the little atom closed his eyes,
And thought about how he could rise,
Above the chemical that sought to bring him down,
And stay true to himself, like a king with a crown.
With all his might, he fought the chemical's power,
And in the end, he emerged, a little bit sour,
But stronger than ever, more refined and pure,
A shining example of what one can endure.
So kids, remember this tale I've told,
About atoms and their little world,
You are strong and brave, and can conquer all,
Just like the atom, standing tall!
