Once upon a time in a land far away,

With formation in place, they took to the skies,
Ready to prove themselves, ready to fly.

An invasion was coming, they had to prepare,
To protect their land, they had to be there.
As they took off, an escort came along,
To show their support, to help them stay strong.

With a mission in mind, they flew through the air,
And proved themselves worthy, without a single scare.
Equality prevailed, they had done their best,
And showed that segregated, they could pass the test.

So now they fly, with pride and with glee,
Knowing that they had broken down a wall, they are now free.
