High Above: A BASE Jumper's Thrill

Up high in the sky, above the clouds so white,
A BASE jumper geared up and ready for flight.
The air is pressurized, the wind begins to howl,
The jumper takes a deep breath, ready for the foul.

With discipline and focus, the jumper takes the leap,
Into a free fall, a sensation so deep.
The altitude rises, the ground disappears,
The speed of sound echoes, but there are no fears.

Inside a capsule, the jumper zooms ahead,
The sensors deploy, as the claustrophobia sets.
But the jumper is brave, ready for the thrill,
The chute deploys, and the landing is still.

From high up above, the jumper looks down,
The world seems so small, the people like ants in the town.
The BASE jumper lands, with a sense of pride,
A thrill that few can handle, and even fewer can ride.
