Deep down in the ocean's trench
Where sunlight can't extend its reach
There lies the abyssal zone so dark
Home to creatures both big and small, but fragile in heart.

Amidst the darkness, there's a process at play
Photosynthesis, the plants' way
To turn the sun's energy into food
A skill so cool, it's hard to misconstrue.

In the aphotic zone, where light is scarce
Lives the anemone with tentacles so fierce
It needs support to stay in place
And avoid slipping into the abyss's face.

But in the ocean, as in life, there's a fault
Things don't always go as they ought
Sometimes the anemone falls into the deep
Where it's tough to survive and even harder to sleep.

So let's remember the lessons we learn
From the abyss's creatures and their concerns
Take care of the fragile, support those in need
And let photosynthesis help us all succeed.
