Once upon a time, long ago,
In a plantation far below,
A little seed was sown with care,
To grow into a plant so rare.
The seed believed in its own effect,
And grew into a flax plant perfect,
With leaves so green and stem so tall,
It stood proud amidst them all.
It stayed there for years to come,
Until one day it wanted to roam,
It longed to explore and see,
The world outside its colony.
So it wrote its own autobiography,
Of all its adventures and journey,
Of how it overcame every hurdle,
And made its way out of the circle.
It travelled far and wide,
With the wind as its guide,
It saw mountains, oceans and cities,
And experienced all their beauties.
But in the end, it missed its home,
The plantation where it had grown,
So it decided to return one day,
To where it had started its way.
And when it did, it was greeted with glee,
By all the other plants in the colony,
For they knew the little flax plant,
Had achieved what they couldn't.
