The Young Artist and the Medieval Masterpiece

Once upon a time in a land of old,
A place with castles, knights, and stories told,
Lived a young artist with a mind so bright,
And a heart full of passion, so full of might.

She had a canvas, a sketch, and a dream,
To create a sculpture, like nothing seen,
With a medieval facade, and a tale to tell,
Of knights and dragons, and a magic spell.

With every stroke of her brush so true,
And every carve in the cavity too,
Her masterpiece began to take shape,
A wondrous world, she could hardly escape.

The facade so grand, and the colors so bold,
The story it told, could never grow old,
And as she stepped back to take it all in,
Her heart felt so full, as she broke out in a grin.

And so, young ones, let this be a lesson,
To chase your dreams, and never second guess 'em,
For with passion and drive, and a heart so pure,
You can create magic, and so much more.

Reflections

  1. What was the young artist's dream, and how did she bring it to life?
  2. What kind of story do you think the sculpture tells, and what is your favorite part of it?
  3. Do you think it's important to have passion for what you create? Why or why not?
  4. How did the artist feel when she stepped back to look at her finished masterpiece?
  5. If you could create a sculpture or painting, what would it be of, and what would it tell the world?
