Lost in the Woods

Twins are special, that's for sure,
Two little ones, to love and adore.
But did you know there are two kinds?
Fraternal and identical, each unique in their minds.

Identical twins look the same,
And sometimes they even act the same.
They share a trait or two, you see,
But they're their own person, as they can be.

Fraternal twins, on the other hand,
Are different in looks and traits, understand.
Each one has something to anticipate,
And different paths they'll soon create.

But whether they're identical or fraternal,
They both have siblings, that's internal.
A brother or sister to override,
Or to play and have fun by their side.

So let's all acquire the love and joy,
Of siblings, whether girl or boy.
And let's recite this poem with a grin,
For twins are special, like a double win!

Reflections

  1. What did the siblings do to prepare for their hike in the woods?
  2. What did the siblings do when they realized they were lost?
  3. What are some things the siblings did to stay safe and survive in the woods?
  4. How did the siblings feel when they finally found their way back to safety?
  5. What did the siblings learn from their experience of being lost in the woods?
