Lost in the Woods

Energy is what makes our world go 'round,
It lights up our homes and makes cities abound.
It comes from the sun, wind, and water too,
And also from sources that aren't brand new.

But some energy sources can be a pollutant,
Harming the air and making it harder to live it.
We need to be careful and find ways to preserve,
So the Earth stays healthy and we all can conserve.

Fossil fuels are one source we should reduce,
Because when we burn them, harmful gases are produced.
And that can lead to a rise in the heat,
Causing global warming, which can be quite a feat.

Hydroelectric power is a cleaner way,
It uses the force of water to make things go today.
A turbine spins 'round and creates electricity,
Helping to power our world with much more efficiency.

And when water moves and sediment is made,
It creates rich soil that plants and crops can be laid.
So let's do our part and take care of our land,
And use energy wisely, with a helping hand.
