The Adventures of a Curious Child: Exploring the Land of Buddhism and Shinto

In a bustling metropolis far away
Lived a kind and curious child one day
He loved to explore and learn of new things
And always asked questions and spread his wings

One day he heard of a land far and wide
Where the people followed Buddhism with pride
Where shoguns ruled with honor and grace
And the kimono was the beautiful lace

The child was curious and wanted to know
What else was there in this land so slow
So he learned of the shrine, oh so grand
And the Shinto religion, where they stand

But with beauty and peace, there comes the rain
A monsoon, that can cause much pain
And with the rain comes the typhoon too
A force so strong, it can make the ground shake too

And sometimes a tsunami can come with a roar
Bringing destruction to the shore
But the child learned that the people rise up
With hope in their hearts, in their cups

So he learned to appreciate the world so vast
With all its beauty and challenges, it will last
And he also learned to always be kind
For that's the Buddhist way, for all mankind.
