The Adventure of the Word Hunt: A Poem for Young Kids

Score, store, chore, core,
All these words we've got in store.
Wore, tore, sore, more,
We'll learn them all and so much more!

Score is how you keep the tally,
Of how well you're doing, it's your rally.
Store is where you keep your things,
It's safe and sound and free from strings.

Chore is something you must do,
It's a task that's there for you.
Clean your room, or wash the dishes,
It's all part of life's delicious dishes!

Core is strong and deep inside,
It's the center, where your heart resides.
Wore is what you put on your skin,
To keep you warm and cozy in.

Tore means you've broken it apart,
But don't worry, it's not too hard to restart.
Sore means it hurts, like a boo-boo,
But a kiss and hug will make it feel all new!

And more is what you always want,
More love, more fun, that's what you hunt.
So now you know these words so well,
You can use them all and do them well!
