Oh, the airport's such a busy place,
With people moving at a fast pace,
You see luggage rolling down the hall,
And passports ready for the call.
There's a newspaper in someone's hand,
And a passenger with money in a band,
Watching the arrivals on the screen,
Hoping to see their loved one's face beam.
There's a magazine on a nearby seat,
And a suitcase waiting at the feet,
Of a traveler who's ready to go,
To destinations where the winds may blow.
And as the departures board lights up,
It's time to say goodbye, to give up,
A hug to the ones who've come to stay,
Until the next visit, in a not so distant day.
