A Menagerie of Creatures and Things

A celebration of the unique qualities and actions of creatures and objects, such as bats, cups, apples, alligators, ants, tigers, cats, and cars.

Back to readings

Read together

Bats fly in the night with ease,
Cups hold our drinks with such glee,
Apples are red, or green, or gold,
Alligators swim in rivers bold.

Ants march in lines with such might,
Tigers roam and hunt with sight,
Cats play and nap in sunny spots,
Cars race and zoom without a stop.

Each one is special in its own way,
In the big world where they all play.
So let's take a look and have some fun,
And see what each and every one has done!

Talk about it
