A World of Wonders: A Collection of Everyday Objects

Cats love to play with a ball of yarn
And they’ll chase it from dusk till dawn
Their fur is soft, their eyes are bright
They make us smile, day or night

Pans are for cooking, it’s true
Sizzling bacon, eggs for you
With a handle and a lid to boot
It’s the kitchen tool you can’t refute

Men and women, big and small
Work and play, they give their all
Building, planting, and exploring too
Making the world a better place, it’s true

Fans keep us cool, with a whirring sound
Spinning round and round, they’ll spin you round
When the sun is hot, you’ll be glad
You have a fan, it’s not that bad

Mats are for sitting, for resting your feet
They come in colors, oh so neat
Red, blue, green, and yellow too
A comfy place for me and you

Rats are small, with a twitchy nose
They scurry about, wherever they go
Some people think they’re quite a treat
While others run away, down the street

Hats keep us cool, from the sun’s warm rays
And when it’s cold, they keep us warm in many ways
From baseball caps to fancy hats
There’s a hat for every head, that’s a fact

Vans are for driving, from place to place
With seats inside, there’s plenty of space
For families, friends, and pets too
Vans will take you where you want to go

Bats are for hitting, in a game of baseball
Swinging hard, you’re bound to have a ball
With a crack, the ball flies far
It’s a home run, you’re a star

Ran and ran, as fast as we can
Through the fields, on the sand
With the wind in our hair, it’s such fun
Running and laughing, under the sun

Can you can, with a pop and a snap
Filled with soda, or maybe a nap
It’s a container, strong and true
And it holds whatever you want it to!
