Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Lily who loved to play outside in the afternoon. She would run and play with her friends, chasing each other and having fun in the sun.

As the afternoon turned into evening, Lily's mother called her inside for dinner. After dinner, it was time for bed, so Lily brushed her teeth and put on her pajamas.

But just as she was getting into bed, she heard a strange noise coming from outside. She looked out the window and saw that it was already nighttime. The moon was shining bright and the stars were twinkling in the sky.

Lily was a little scared, but she also felt curious. She decided to go outside and explore the night. She put on her coat and went outside, where she saw all sorts of creatures she had never seen before.

There were bats flying overhead, owls hooting in the trees, and even a family of raccoons rummaging through the trash cans. Lily was amazed by all the creatures she saw and she realized that there was so much to discover at nighttime.

As she was walking back to her house, she looked up at the stars and thought about all the different places they might be shining down on. She realized that no matter what time it was, there was always something to explore and discover.

And so, from that day on, Lily made sure to spend time outside every evening, discovering all the wonders of the night.
