Once upon a time, in a far-off kingdom, there lived a little girl named Princess Proper. Princess Proper was known throughout the land for her impeccable manners and her love of all things plain. She was always polite and obliging, and everyone who met her was instantly charmed by her pleasant demeanor.
One day, Princess Proper received a visit from an odious prince named Prince Obnoxious. Prince Obnoxious was loud and brash and had a terrible temper. He was always rude and never thought to use his manners. Princess Proper was a bit nervous at first, but she was determined to be patient and polite to her guest.
As they sat down to tea, Prince Obnoxious immediately made a mess of things. He spilled his tea, knocked over the sugar bowl, and even stepped on Princess Proper's dress! But Princess Proper remained calm and obliging, offering Prince Obnoxious a clean napkin and pouring him a fresh cup of tea.
To Princess Proper's surprise, Prince Obnoxious suddenly stood up and declared that he was going to marry her! Princess Proper was taken aback and a little nervous, but she remained polite and patient. She told Prince Obnoxious that she would need some time to think about his proposal.
The next day, Prince Obnoxious showed up at Princess Proper's castle with a grand parade and a giant cake. He was being loud and obnoxious as usual, but Princess Proper was determined to be patient and polite. She suggested that they go for a walk in the castle gardens.
As they walked, Prince Obnoxious was being his usual odious self, but Princess Proper remained calm and obliging. Suddenly, a giant dragon appeared, breathing fire and scaring everyone. Prince Obnoxious was so nervous that he ran away as fast as he could, but Princess Proper was quick and brave. She used her manners to calm the dragon down and persuade it to leave peacefully.
From that day on, Prince Obnoxious was never seen or heard from again, and Princess Proper was even more proud of her polite and obliging ways. She lived happily ever after, always being neat and proper and never letting anything or anyone get the best of her.
And the moral of the story is: always be patient, polite, and obliging, no matter how odious others may be!
